Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real this week is more highland dancing. Last night the girls were dancing at one of the retirement homes in Renfrew.

Ella was really brave and attempted the Fling. They hadn't been working on that for this performance.
All our great dancers. The littlest on is 2, she doesn't take lessons yet but watches her 'big' sister and can't wait to 'dance Scottish'.

Very cute. My teenager did her dance showcase for high school this week. I was so disappointed because it was so dark. 46 dances and about 38 of them were on drugs, death and the underworld. Daughter was in four dances. Only one was dark. I think dance is a happy expression.

That's one of the reasons I'm so much happier with our new dance school. They dance highland dances to highland music. Not trashy modern music in trashy 'dance' costumes. I would never put Ella in jazz. They way they dance is not appropriate for little girls.
