Family Reunion

We had a bit of a family reunion today.  Colin's Mom's brother and his wife were home from BC for a while.  Colin's cousin (and family) came over from Quebec.  Their little girl is 3, so it was nice for Ella to have a little girl to play with.  The little one is bi-lingual so they didn't have any communication problems.

I was up at 6 am to get the turkey in the oven.  For some reason, Colin's mom wanted to have it at lunch.  Family gatherings in my family was always at supper time.  Oh, well, the turkey turned out really nice and was delicious.  Ella was happy that Auntie Lizzie brought jello.

We actually got the cousins to slow down long enough for a picture.  These are some of Daddy's 'small' giant pumpkins.

Auntie Lizzie, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa Fletcher.   Colin's mom has a beautiful yard.  They are all sitting beside the pond and fountain that Grandpa built last year.  It's the perfect spot for pictures.

This is my beautiful girl just before she got clothes-lined by Grandpa's rope swing.  You should see the mark it left on her poor little neck.  She landed flat on the grass and just laid there!!  My heart nearly stopped.  Needless to say, that basically brought an end to the afternoon.

My friend Maureen is trying to 'get real' and post pictures of ourselves -whether we like them or not.  So here I am with Colin and Ella.
