Pizza Day today! My helper did a great job rolling out the dough.

2 3/4 cup flour 1 tsp salt
2 tsp oil 1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp instant yeast 1 cup warm water

Mix, knead and let rise an hour. Roll out. Top and bake 450F for 15 minutes.

I usually just use spaghetti sauce. We don't have spaghetti that much so it helps to get the jar used up before it goes moldy :P Here's my helper sprinkling on the mozzarella. Though she's more of a pile maker than sprinkler :)

The pizza's ready for the oven. I know we're not that exciting for toppings. Peperoni for Daddy and Ella's side, tomato for mine. If I had time I'd fry some onions and put them on too.

It was very yummy. A meal I can be sure Ella will eat, though what she'll eat on top changes daily.

Looks yummy! My girls love helping top the pizzas, too. I make two jelly roll pan sized pies for this group of pizza lovers.

You'll never believe that it snowed again here this morning! It was very wet, so it has now melted, but it covered everything for a little while! Ugh - Where is spring hiding???

I usually use a "half sheet" size jelly roll pan. I didn't need as much pizza this day.

Don't worry Spring's coming :)

I have a question: If someone wanted to buy your hand knitted dish clothes, how much would you charge? I've been asked to make some for someone in my church. We'll just assume the Canadian and US $ are equal for this.

KJunebug is that you? If it is, it's great to know your name. I know Luv's and although I don't type it, it's nice to know :)

I'm not sure how much I'd charge for knit dish cloths. How much did the yarn cost? How many do you get from a ball? Let me know that and I'll give you an idea. I know it's for someone from church, but you don't want to undervalue your time.

Yes it's me! As I finished I realized that the "old" pseudonym wasn't going to show, decided that a first name only is pretty generic and will work OK in the blog world.

The yarn $1.99-$2.49, I can get 2 out of a varigated skein and 3-4 out of a solid. Nicole (my big daught.) suggested about $4 each, which seemed pretty fair. I'm definately interested in your opinion, before I commit.

If you think people would pay $4 each, I'd go for that. I never buy them, I always seem to get them as gifts just as I need more.

Don't, Don't, Don't give them away for too little. That's a mistake people around here make, and the main reason I don't sell my knitted things. Most people up here sell hand made things for barely enough to cover costs. You've got better things to do with your time than knit dish cloths for no money! That's what I do with my custom sewing. I know I've priced myself out of a couple of jobs, but why take the time away from Ella if I'm not going to make decent money for it? It just doesn't make sense to me.

I think you are near a city? That would help. My stuff would sell for a fortune if we lived in/near Toronto or Ottawa. It's like all the "fun farm" type ideas we come up with. If we lived near the city we'd make a fortune, just not up here.

I'm glad to know your name now. Colin doesn't get how we can be "friends" and not know names :)

I think you are right about being too nice with my pricing. That is the "old" me! There are a lot of people here in the city that do not sew, knit etc. In addition to my basket business, I feel I need to think of all sorts of ways to add income, and I don't want to be adding $$ and using all my time up. I am going to go for $4 each. Thanks, friend!!

Oh, silly boys!! They just don't get "sisterhood"!

:) Yeah, he doesn't get how my friends from HS almost never talk, but then pick up conversations when we get together at Christmas.

Mommy news -Ella was playing this morning and suddenly announced "I have to go bathroom" and ran off. Couple minutes later I hear "I pooped!" That's so good, I usually have a hard time getting her to go and try to pee :) I try not to stress, no one goes to school wearing diapers. It's hard though, I was fully trained by one.

That is great sounds like she's made a connection!!! $4 a dish cloth is going to work!!! I am pretty excited, now just to think of other ways to help with the income!! I might be able to sell my hand knit leg warmers at the girls dance school... We will see!
