Yarn Along -3 October 2012

A quick Yarn Along post today.  This afternoon Ella and I are heading out to the Bonnechere Caves.  Poor Daddy has to stay home.

Ella's afghan is coming along nicely.  I laid out a few 'squares' so I can get a rough idea of how many I'm going to need.  I really like how the Astra knits up, nice and firm and measures accurately.

This week we hope to start reading Little House in the Big Woods.  We talked about the pioneers on the way to the zoo the other day (we passed a lot of their houses) and Ella said she wanted to learn more.  I told her I had some books about a little girl who actually was a pioneer and Ella was very excited.  I'm terribly excited because I love the Little House books.
