Death on the Farm

Someone is killed on a farm in Ontario every two weeks!

Half of those people were the farmer -the father, the main farm operator.

Sixteen percent of those people were children!

Farmers work so hard.  Depending on the time of year, Colin works 2-3 full time jobs just to get by.   Most of the farmers we know work off-farm jobs too.  Being tired and over-worked makes farming even more dangerous.

Support your local farmers.  Demand that Loblaws, Metro, and all the other big grocery stores start selling Canadian meat and vegetables.  We do raise enough meat to supply demand.  Don't be fooled by the 'Canada Grade A' on the label.  Most large chain meat is American.

Farming is a full time job.  It should be the only job required to support the farm family.
