Farmgirl Friday

Home from the laundromat and found Colin in the yard getting the corn planter ready.  It was starting to spit rain, but he's hoping to get out in the fields soon.

We actually do have one crop in the ground and growing.  The garlic is springing up and looking great.  It's nice to see something actually growing.

Daddy has been working on a project the last few days.  I think it's wishful thinking:

Even with the solar heater, I think it's going to be a while before we are swimming.
And just a bit of sunshine to end today's post -my first daffodils of the year.  The daffodils usually flower around Easter, but they were barely through the ground this year even with Easter being late.

Go check out the other Farmgirl posts over at Deborah Jean's Dandelion House.

Hi Paula :)
I was just catching up on my email and I can't remember if I emailed you back after you had asked about our baby chicks? I apologize if this is a double answer *grin*. They are Bovan Browns which I've been told are like the Isa Browns. We've had Isa's in the past and they lay great big brown eggs and are a nice docile hen :)
Happy belated Mother's Day!
