December 14 -Snow!!

Good thing we didn't have much planned for today.  We are getting quite a bit of snow today.  In fact, Grandma had to call in someone to plow out her driveway because she couldn't get the car in last night.  Ella is with her today (Momma needed sleep last night) and will be having an extra sleepover day since the roads are a mess.  Ella's Advent fun is playing in the fresh snow, movies and hot coco with Grandma.  Much nicer than my day of laundry and dishes  :)  I am doing some fun though, I am trying to get some new dresses made for the holidays.  I wish I had a dressmakers' dummy.  Maybe I'd have less trouble since I wouldn't be looking at myself but at the dummy -I'd be more objective??

I saw a blip in the news about your area and snow... You lucky people! We are just getting more and more rain, actually we are having a little break, but it's super windy and back to being on the chilly side. It was nice not having to use the fireplace or heater for a few days. More crafting, knitting, sewing and baking for me too.

My daughter and family will be leaving soon to spend Christmas in Canada with "his" family. I worry about them traveling in this weather every year! You do not want to travel to Canada in Dec.! I am having them here for an early Christmas dinner and gift exchange on Saturday.

Don't worry Diann, the Toronto area has gotten almost no snow. They are calling for a bit today but nothing really. The bad stuff is London and west. We always worry about the weather for the trip to Bowmanville but the plows are good at getting out and getting the snow moved.

We got about 5 inches yesterday.

Thanks, Paula. That reassures me a little! But being a mom, I will always worry, even though my "baby" is 38 now! ;)
