This is one of my favourite pictures. It's at my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's house. That's Grandpa playing with me and their dog Boots. It was always fun to be at Grandma and Grandpa's house growing up. Mom's youngest two brothers were only 13 and 15 when I was born.
Ella and Grandma worked hard to get the house tidied up for my birthday party (only the other Grandparents were invited). Ella's getting all her crumbs out of the chesterfield. It's an amazing picture since she usually runs from the vacuum. She doesn't like loud noises. I need to get my knitting corner cleaned up, it's starting to spill into the room.
This is Ella and I looking at her card. She and Grandma always go shopping for my cards. Ella always picks the nicest cards. Ella gave me two new rosebushes to help fill in the empty spot in my garden. She gave me the
Morden Blush and
Morden Ruby. They are very hardy and should do well up here.
It was such a lovely birthday. I didn't have to do any cooking and no dishes either. I could have done without the headache that turned into a migraine, but even that didn't spoil my day. Colin even made it in from the field in time for supper.

Sounds like a very enjoyable day {sans the miagraine, I get them also and when I least would like} no dishes, no cooking, a clean house and pretty roses! Happy 39, the first time {hee,hee}!
