Good news, the asthma test wasn’t as bad as I feared. I had been told they would ‘chemically induce and asthma attack’ when in reality they were looking for a 20% decrease in lung function. ~a little back story, I’ve had asthma since I was 16. Most of the time it’s well controlled. That is until I get a cold and then I can cough for months until the doctors finally give me prednesone to make it stop. The last couple of years, the nurse practitioner has been hinting around that I don’t actually have asthma (not that she had any other reasons). Finally she sent me to the respirologist that comes up to Renfrew from Ottawa. He’s the one that ordered the asthma testing because my lungs don’t perform on the regular breathing test as he expected. ~so, back to today. The test consists of 8 different vials/concentrations of the medicine that’s supposed to cause my bronchial tubes to react. First dose, nothing happened. Second dose, my chest got tight/hurt to breathe deep. By the third dose, my ‘asthma cough’ started and I couldn’t do the tests properly. That’s as far as we went. It will be interesting to see what they have to say when I’m at the doctor’s next.
So, what’s up for Yarn Along/Crafting On…

Finished up my socks. Gave up waiting for more Goth Kitty and I ordered some of Knit Picks grey stripe (Spaceman) Felici. I think it looks pretty good. It’s at the top and people won’t see it much. I’ll have to get a picture of them on once I get the ribbons in them. Work continues on the custom sweater, but it’s not an easy project to carry around and I didn’t have much sitting and knitting time this week.
